A family in Panama City, Florida, recently lost their residence after a squirrel chewed through electrical wiring in the attic.
This gave rise to a short circuit and sparked a massive fire during the late hours of January 31.
Donnie Banta and Stacey Davis shared how they were fast asleep with the two kids and their pets when Banta heard a breaker flip and rustling arising before smelling something that was burning.
The family swift evacuated, but firefighters later confirmed how the fire began because the rodent had eaten live wire,s and that triggered this huge inferno.
By this time, crews were said to have extinguished this blaze, and the home was destroyed, with the roof collapsing and nearly all of the possessions lost. Friends of the family mentioned more about how they're now setting up a fundraising page to assist in raising more money for temporary housing and rebuilding costs.
