Cops were seen responding to a distress call from a home on Ocean Crest Boulevard recently.
This included a woman who called 911 rescue services for help from her home in Far Rockaway in Queens.

At about 12 noon, she reportedly mentioned how her partner, 33-year-old Kegan Thomas, was armed with a shotgun and making alarming death threats. He also shouted, 'Kill them, kill them!'
Upon arrival, officers met the wife outside, who warned that her partner was armed and that she had already seen a body inside.

Police established a perimeter and called for the Emergency Services Unit. 15 minutes later, a giant explosion arose after Thomas allegedly set the home on fire. Moments after that, he emerged wearing a tactical vest loaded with ammunition while wielding a shotgun. When he ignored repeated commands to lower the weapon and surrender, officers opened fire, critically wounding him.
