Tragic reports are speaking about the death of a 15-year-old student who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, right after he injured his teacher at a high school in Texas.
Reports from the Sheriff's office spoke about how the incident arose during the morning hours of classes at the Hill Country College Preparatory High School, which is present in the Lone Star State.
The shooting immediately placed the school on lockdown, giving rise to a large law enforcement response and student reunification efforts. It comes after a separate incident where a group of schoolboys raped a teacher, before she reached home.
Officials later mentioned how the teacher was rushed to the San Antonio hospital, but there was no word on her condition. The student, meanwhile, was pronounced dead at the scene.
As per the sheriff's office, the situation did not constitute any active threat, and there was no danger to students or faculty following this incident.
