Shocking reports are speaking about a woman being hit with a staggering medical bill of nearly $50k after suffering catastrophic cruise injuries.
28-year-old Kirsten Lindsey, who hails from Louisiana, suffered from a serious genital straddle on a rope swing in Honduras during a Carnival cruise. This resulted in a serious and immediate hospital bill for a medical flight back to the US.
Lindsey was believed to be using a rope swing on day three of her cruise at an excursion destination. A retrieval line was not properly connected to the swing, and suddenly tightening between her legs resulted in a massive force before she dropped down.
Medically classified as a catastrophic saddle/straddle injury, the blunt force impact gave rise to serious swelling and trauma to her groin region. She initially believed that it was a minor scratch, but serious pain and massive swelling set in hours later, forcing her to spend 26 hours in the ship's infirmary.
The pair had to arrange a private emergency air medical evacuation and even had to pay a staggering $20k upfront deposit and another $30k upon arrival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
