Karmelo Anthony Case Takes Dark Turn As Prosecutor Unveils Evidence Jury Never Saw, Including Disturbing Texts

New evidence in the Karmelo Anthony case has now emerged that was never presented to the original trial jury.

On the day of the fatal incident, Anthony's former lover reported to an assistant principal that he was stalking her. Anthony sent out an image of a knife to his former lover along with a text stating that he was low-key on the verge, leading prosecutors to describe him as spiraling.

The former girlfriend expressed concerns regarding Anthony's fixation on knives, firearms, and fighting. Prosecutors and defense lawyers agreed before the trial to omit Anthony's past personal behavior in exchange for excluding victim Austin Metcalf's juvenile criminal history.

The agreement aimed to keep the emotional trial focused strictly on the fatal confrontation at the track meet.
