CEO Who Went Viral For Firing 900 Employees Via Zoom Just Before Christmas Now Furious As Karma Comes For Him

The CEO who went viral for firing 900 employees through Zoom just before Christmas is now furious as karma comes for him.

Vishal Garg, who is the controversial CEO of digital mortgage firm Better Homes and Finance, first made headlines in 2021 for firing 900 employees through a Zoom call.

Now, he's ousted from his own position. Garg was removed as CEO and replaced by board member Daniel Lewis. Following his removal, Garg sent out a letter demanding the board's resignation and claimed in media interviews that he had secured 52% of shareholder votes to get control again.

Better Homes and Finance filed a lawsuit against Garg in federal court, accusing him of spreading misleading statements to shareholders without proper SEC filings and violating securities laws.
