A 98 foot superyacht valued at $9 million ended up sinking in the Mediterranean Sea off Porto Cervo, Sardinia, just four days after being delivered to the new owner.
The luxury vessel, named The Angioloa II, was carrying 14 people, including guests and crew, when an engine failure triggered a fire, causing the ship to take on water and capsize onto its starboard side.

Miraculously, no injuries were reported. Most passengers and crew members were rescued by a nearby vessel. The owner, believed to be an unnamed Italian businessman, stayed onboard with another passenger until Italian maritime authorities arrived to transport them back to safety.

The yacht was reportedly built in 2020 by a leading Italian shipbuilder, Permare. The Amer F100 model featured four engines capable of reaching speeds up to 28 knots, with accommodations for 10 guests and five crew members. After the rescue, officials managed to secure the partially submerged yacht on the seabed to ensure stability.
