The news has left the leaders of Greenland and Denmark upset, after the US President mentioned that it was crucial to have the country under its belt for national security purposes.

The leaders of Denmark and Greenland insisted that America will not take over the country and further asked for respect for their territorial integrity after President Trump shared the appointment of a special envoy to the semi-autonomous territory.
