Dwayne Johnson is celebrating a major milestone with a little family humor. The actor was officially named a Disney Legend at the 2026 Disney Legends Awards ceremony in Anaheim, California, on Aug. 16. During the event, Johnson joked that his new status could come with an especially exciting benefit for his children: free Disney theme park tickets for life.
Johnson shared that his younger daughters, Jasmine, 10, and Tiana, 8, were thrilled when they learned their dad had received the honor. The girls sent him a video congratulating him and asked what being a Disney Legend meant. Johnson jokingly replied that it meant they would get “free tickets to Disney for life.”

Johnson shares Jasmine and Tiana with his wife, Lauren Hashian, and is also father to 25-year-old Simone from his previous marriage to Dany Garcia. The actor said it has been a particularly exciting year for his younger daughters because they also appeared briefly in the live-action Moana.

The Disney connection is especially meaningful for Johnson because he voices Maui in the Moana franchise. He is set to return as the beloved demigod in the upcoming Moana 3.
Calling the Disney Legends honor “special,” Johnson also expressed his appreciation for his long-standing relationship with Disney. The 2026 ceremony honored several major names from the entertainment world, recognizing their contributions to Disney’s storytelling and entertainment legacy.
