Karoline Leavitt Says Her White House Duties Are Taking a Toll On Her Marriage as 32-Year Age Gap Draws Backlash

The White House Press Secretary is opening up about her many responsibilities linked to her job and how that’s causing a strain on her marriage due to reduced family time.

She shared how she’s left with no choice but to cancel her vacations and hasn’t had any date nights due to prioritizing her work and looking after her son’s bedtime, and still managing late briefings amongst other things.

She also noted how many personal challenges she’s been through linked to balancing public service with family life. She first made history when she became the youngest person to take on this important role, but has now shared that she’s paid a hefty price for cementing her status as a political heavyweight.

28-year-old Leavitt, who wed real estate investor Nicholas Riccio, 60, in January of this year, welcomed a baby son, Niko, together. She added how that’s opened up so many difficulties as a working mother. “I’ve got PTSD now about making plans because it’s forced me to cancel so many date nights in the past, she continued.

When she does happen to be free, she would much rather spend time with her loved ones, she continued, as opposed to going out.
