Tragic reports are speaking about the death of a Department of Defense employee during a Korean Air flight from Washington DC to Seoul.
According to reports from local media outlets, the passenger was already sick and started to experience more alarming symptoms on board the aircraft, including struggling to breathe. She held her chest as members of the cabin crew were seen responding with an oxygen mask to place over her nose and mouth.
However, as she continued to gasp for air, she lost consciousness and started to get so unresponsive, as per a federal lawsuit that was reviewed. Several passengers were seen rushing to assist as flight attendants alternated between panicking, observing, and taking notes.
The report alleges that at no point in time did the flight attendant attempt to take charge of this situation, provide any instructions on what to do next to the volunteering passengers, it added. The pilot ended up diverting the plane to Japan, where Brown was pronounced dead. Only when the plane landed did Brown's travel companions learn that the Korean Air personnel never plugged the oxygen mask into the oxygen tank and therefore the supply of supplemental oxygen never reached her.
