A man from Connecticut has killed his lover and two young daughters in what authorities are referring to as a murder-suicide.
Patrick King took his lover's life and her two young kids before he fatally turned the gun on himself during a standoff episode with the police at his home in Plainville, Connecticut.

The police shared more about the tragedy, including how they were alerted about the situation at about 3:53 pm local time when a woman called 911 and explained to dispatchers that her brother claimed that he shot and killed his lover and their two kids and now would be taking his own life.
The cops arrived at the residence, set up a perimeter, and tried to communicate with him, but it was to no avail. The SWAT team was then called to the scene, and a negotiator on that team was said to make efforts to try to communicate over the phone. But again, that was in vain.

The decision was soon made to deploy pepper gas so he would give up and turn himself in, but he refused and instead shot himself in the end. Police found all the bodies at the residence, filled with gunshot wounds. Investigations are still taking place to determine the motive for the killing.
