California man missing for over a month in the Pacific Ocean is suddenly found drifting off Hawaii

Shocking reports are speaking about a missing California man being found after being reported missing for nearly a month.

Sources from local media outlets talked about how the man was reported missing from the Pacific Ocean and was now found drifting off the state of Hawaii.

The matter involving the 39-year-old male on Catalina Island, California was certainly dubbed a miracle for obvious reasons. Sato is believed to have set sail alone on June 7 in the hopes of starting off a new life in Hawaii. Two weeks into his journey, the mast of his sailboat snapped, and his engine ran out of fuel while his phone died after it got wet.

Left without any kind of navigation or power, strong ocean currents and waves pushed him so far south and completely outside of main shipping lanes. He spent his first five days in deep despair and crying and contemplating ending his life before resolving to fight for survival.

Sata managed to stabilize and steer his vessel by jerry-rigging the broken mast using PVC pipes and kayak paddles. He lived by sustaining himself mostly on leftover oatmeal and fish and squid that he found randomly landing on the deck of his boat.
