Three people were killed, and four more were injured after gunfire broke out during a shootout at the yearly Bite of Seattle food festival.
This was held at the Seattle Center on Sunday.
Gunshots were reportedly heard at about 6 pm near the iconic Space Needle, causing thousands of festival attendees to panic and flee for cover. Investigators believe two individuals were actively shooting at one another when this incident took place.
Seattle police and Mayor Katie Wilson confirmed more about how one suspect was described as a young person and is now in custody. A second shooter fled the scene and remains at large.
A total of seven people were believed to be struck by gunfire during this altercation. Among those killed were two men that were aged 19 and 44 and one woman aged 56.
