The infamous graffiti artist dubbed Banksy has finally been unmasked.
The news comes after he changed his name to something so generic that he could hide in plain sight. This made it so hard to decipher who he really was.
The notorious guerrilla street artist whose works have sold for a staggering sum of money was identified as 51-year-old Robin Gunningham in the UK city of Bristol, as outlined in Reuters' latest investigation.
The report showcased how Gunningham opted to alter his name to David Jones whch is one of the most common names in Britain, and it was so popular that he could easily hide without any concern.
As part of this mega investigation, reporters were seen pulling data from a trip to war-torn Ukraine, where he was pictured and spoke with locals. This was said to be a major falling out with the people of Jamaica, and a 2000 NYPD report that included a signed and handwritten confession.
He was previously identified as Banksy, but after piecing together several different forensic pieces of evidence, they have solved the mystery and come to this conclusion.
