A tragic tornado in Oklahoma has left a loving mother and her teen daughter dead, resulting in the entire community mourning this terrifying news.
The victims were identified as Jodie Owens and her 13-year-old daughter named Lexi Owens, who passed away when a powerful tornado struck their vehicle near Fairview, Oklahoma, on March 5, 2026.
Authorities were able to find them inside their van after the severe storm passed through the area.
According to family members, Jodie was on the phone with her kids at the residence when the storm occurred. She was seen warning them to take shelter from the tornado when the call came to an abrupt end as the storm rammed into the vehicle.
Jodie was a substitute teacher and an active member of the local school community. She was also a mother of eight kids and a grandmother of four, with another grandchild expected to arrive very soon. Her daughter Lexi was a seventh-grade student and a drummer in the school band, remembered by relatives as kind, energetic, and full of life.
