‘Black People Are NOT Apes!’- Rep. Al Green KICKED OUT for Blasting Trump At The State Of The Union

During Donald Trump's 2026 State of the Union address, Rep Al Green of Texas was reportedly removed from the House Chamber after displaying a very bold handwritten sign that really rubbed President Trump the wrong way.

According to reports from local media outlets, the sign read: 'Black People are Not Apes!'- as the president entered the room, clearly making him visibly upset. On that note, he ordered the removal of the Rep with immediate effect.

The protest appeared to target the President's very controversial post on social media, which depicted former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes.

This depiction drew widespread condemnation across the board. Green has been a long-time Democratic lawmaker and critic of Trump. He stood up and refused to sit with the sign held high, forcing officials to escort him out in minutes into the address. Many Republicans inside the chamber let out a loud response when he was removed, and some even tried to take the sign from him before he left.

The incident marked the second consecutive year that Green was ejected from a State of the Union address. In the year 2025, he was removed after protesting Trump's policy agenda in a loud manner.
