According to reports from local media outlets, he is now the center of a rapidly developing police investigation in the United Kingdom that is tied to the newly released batch of the Epstein Files from the US Department of Justice.
British police forces were seen examining allegations that include potential misconduct during his time as the UK trade envoy.
This is also to check if he shared any kind of confidential government reports with convicted s*x offender Epstein at that time.
Officers were seen beginning initial queries into members of his former protection detail over claims that they might have turned a blind eye during visits to Epstein's private island, where serious abuses were said to have been alleged.
The arrest took place on the morning of his 66th birthday, when several unmarked police vehicles were seen arriving at his residence in the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. He was detained on suspicion of misconduct in public office. As per the UK PM, no one is above the law.
