13 children had recently fallen ill after eating chocolate that the police believe was laced with mushrooms at a summer camp in New Jersey.
Officials were seen responding to a YMCA Camp on North Arlington Avenue in East Orange around 11 am local time on Thursday.

This is right after he got a report that multiple kids attended this camp and ended up consuming what seemed to be a variety of mushroom-laced edibles, as confirmed by the East Orange Police Department.
A preliminary investigation determined that a camp counselor found one camper passing out what appeared to be candy to other campers. This is an act that's strictly prohibited under the camp's policy.

Later, one of the kids who ended up consuming that suspected edible started to complain of not feeling too well. Soon, more than 12 campers felt similar symptoms. The affected kids ranged in age from 10 to 13 years, sources shared.
