Attorney General Pamela Bondi is facing a highly charged House Judiciary Committee hearing over the Justice Department's handling of documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein's investigations.
Lawmakers, especially Democrats, slammed her for how the department released millions of pages of files under the transparency law.
They stated how the entire process was very slow and inconsistent, failing to properly respect the victims' privacy.
Critics even pointed out how the names of some of the victims were left exposed while the names of alleged abusers or co-conspirators were redacted, leading many to question and oppose the approach.
During these proceedings, Bondi repeatedly argued that the DOJ's actions were correct, and the staff was busy working under tight deadlines, and that any errors needed to be amended.
She also rejected the demands to immediately apologize to the survivors when questioned.
