US President Donald Trump has shared plans for a mega national prayer event to take place on May 17, 2026.
He mentioned how this would be at the National Mall in Washington DC as part of giant celebrations for the country's 250th birthday.
At the yearly National Prayer Breakfast that took place recently, Trump added how the gathering would feature Americans from across the nation to pray, give thanks, and rededicate the country as one nation under God.
This event is being promoted as the National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving liked to the bigger Freedom 250 anniversary initiative.
Trump shared what he felt was a renewed resurgence of faith in the country, adding how religion is returning stronger than ever.
He also argued that prayer is central to the country's future.
