Patrick Clancy's life changed forever in January 2023, when he returned home to an unimaginable tragedy that claimed the lives of his three young children.
His wife, Lindsay Clancy, had killed their children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, before attempting to take her own life. The devastating incident left Patrick facing a loss that would completely reshape his life.

Before everything happened, Patrick and Lindsay appeared to have built a happy family life in Duxbury, Massachusetts. They married in 2016 and welcomed Cora, followed by Dawson and then Callan in May 2022.
Patrick worked in tech sales while Lindsay worked as a labor and delivery nurse. But by the fall of 2022, Patrick said Lindsay's mental health had begun to deteriorate.
Following the deaths of his children, Patrick made the difficult decision to start over. He eventually put the family's Duxbury home on the market, moved to New York City and began working as a business applications sales executive at Microsoft.

He also filed for divorce and slowly began rebuilding his personal life.
Patrick eventually met Dr. Rachel Danis, a reproductive specialist, and the pair began dating. Their relationship later became serious, with Danis moving into Patrick's New York apartment in 2025.
In April 2026, the couple married during a small ceremony in Central Park surrounded by close friends and family.
But Patrick has not simply tried to move forward and leave his children behind. Instead, he has found ways to keep their memory alive while helping other families.
In 2024, Patrick and his sisters Erin and Laura launched the Heard Foundation in memory of Cora, Dawson and Callan. The organization focuses on improving perinatal mental-health care and hopes to eventually create a dedicated treatment center for parents who need support.

Patrick and Danis have also taken part in fundraising projects connected to the foundation. In 2025, Patrick returned to Duxbury to help volunteers build a playground near his former home.
The names of his three children were displayed at the playground, creating a lasting tribute to their lives.
Patrick recently faced another painful chapter when he returned to Massachusetts to testify during Lindsay's murder trial.
Despite the unimaginable grief he has experienced, Patrick continues to honor his children's memory while trying to build a new life. His journey has been marked by devastating loss, but also by his determination to turn that pain into something that could help others.
