A seven-year-old boy from Indiana is now said to be recovering after he was run over by a golf cart and suffered a serious brain injury, as per his loved ones.
Lennon Simpson was hospitalized at Riley Children's Hospital following the incident, which his cousin Jenny King called a freak accident.
While playing in the yard with his sisters, Lennon was said to have been run over by a golf cart, as per local media outlets. "It definitively was just a freak accident. They were just being kids," they continued.
In the days after the accident, Lennon remained in an unconscious state as doctors treated his injuries. His family said he suffered a grade 3 diffuse axonal injury, which is a type of brain injury as per the GoFundMe campaign set up in his name.
