Slipknot is confirming that the iconic heavy metal band is no longer affiliated with DJ and keyboard player Sid Wilson amid speculation that he was kicked out of the group.
The group shared a statement that mentioned, 'effective immediately,' and vowed that they would no longer be linked with Sid Wilson, as shared through their rock music festival called Knotfest's official Instagram account on Friday.
But the group shared that they wish him the best of luck for all of his future endeavors. The caption included, 'Slipknot have parted ways with Sid Wilson and that the announcement could be found briefly on the band's website.'
As per several media outlets, including Rolling Stone and more, the band did share the same announcement on their website, but it was shortly deleted a while after.
