We are referring to a lucky Mega Millions ticket holder in Florida who won an estimated $800 million jackpot, which is the largest of this year.
It's also the 10th largest to occur in game history on Tuesday night.
The winning numbers were reported to be 34, 48, 49, 59, 70, and the gold Mega Ball 12. It was not shared immediately where the winning ticket was bought from, but the unidentified ticket holder could select between the $800 million prize or a one-time pre-tax $344 million cash payout.
Selecting the lump sum, the most common choice for all jackpot winners, would ultimately cost 24% of the entire winnings to mandatory federal withholding, reducing the prize money to an estimated $261 million.
