A mother by the name of Donisha Rodriguez is sharing her thoughts after she was told some mind-blowing news about her baby by doctors.
After giving birth to her precious baby girl named Yemaya, it was mentioned that the child tipped the scales at an incredible 14 pounds, 1 ounce. This extraordinary birth arose at Golisano Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York, where staff were seen confirming how she's one of the biggest newborns that had ever been delivered at the facility.
While Dorisha and her partner, Dominic Soto, knew their daughter would be on the larger side, they never imagined that she would be twice the size of an average newborn.
Dorisha first aimed for a natural birth with minimal interventions. During a routine cervical check at about 5 cm dilated, the baby literally reached out and grabbed the healthcare provider's finger. Doctors swiftly realized that they could feel the baby's entire forearm from her elbow to her hand, alongside the top of her head.
To make sure the delivery was safe, Dorisha was seen transitioning to a c-section delivery, and that's where she officially entered the world head first.
