Trump Reviews Calls For National Guard after 9 dead and 38 injured in Chicago

The situation in Chicago is taking a turn for the worst and that's why US President Donald Trump is taking matters into his own hands.

At least 9 people were killed, and nearly 38 more were injured across Chicago this past weekend, where violence in the form of shootings and killings took center stage. This coincided with the Juneteenth holiday. All of the victims were said to range between 14 and 70, raising concerns amongst citizens about the current law and order situation.

On Friday, 12 people were shot when an SUV drove up to the crowd in a neighborhood, and two people opened fire. Similarly, more than two dozen shooting incidents occurred across different neighborhoods in the city. This is why Trump is considering military intervention to help bring the situation under control, but not everyone is holding the same opinion regarding federal intervention.
