A federal lawsuit has been filed to block the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 mixed martial arts event that is said to take place on the White House South Lawn.
This was filed by the anti-corruption group called Public Integrity Project on behalf of two Virginia residents. Now this legal challenge seeks an emergency temporary restraining order to prevent the June 14 event that is scheduled for this month, which would coincide with the president's 80th birthday.

The plaintiffs, who included a civic activist and a Vietnam War veteran, were quick to claim that such events violate several federal laws and regulations.

This case argued that the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service violated rules that strictly prohibit private commercial sporting events to occur on Federal parklands.
