Gunman who believed he was Jesus Christ opened fire on White House checkpoint, neutralized by Secret Service

The shooter outside the White House has been killed and has been identified, according to local media outlets.

A suspect who reportedly believed that he was Jesus Christ was fatally shot on Saturday after allegedly firing near a White House security checkpoint, leading Secret Service agents to return fire and lock down the White House complex while Trump was present.

As per a US Secret Service Statement, the individual whose name is yet to be disclosed officially approached a security checkpoint that was close to 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue before pulling a weapon from a bag and shooting at officers who were positioned there.

The agents were then seen firing back and killing the suspect. In a shocking new development, it was revealed that the suspect believed they were Jesus Christ.

The cops added further that a stay-away order was issued in the past to the suspect, who was described as emotionally disturbed.
