JD Vance says he recently got a dressing down from Donald Trump in terms of his choice of socks.
The 41 year old Vice President left the commander in chief unimpressed by wearing a pair of shamrock socks on St. Patrick's Day in March while hosting Irish PM Micheal Martin at the Naval Observatory before heading to the Oval Office for a meeting.

He explained more about how he opted to wear his shamrock socks to welcome the prime minister from Ireland.
'We were all sitting down with 100 cameras, all ready for a press conference, and that's when the president started off with his remarks, and then he appeared over and said, " What is going on with these socks?'

The lesson is to dress conservatively around the President of the US. He laughed, making it very clear how Trump was far from impressed by his decisions in fashion.
This is not the first time someone in Trump's fashion choices has made headlines, and he's been more than willing to enforce them on allies and adversaries alike.
