President Trump and his counterpart from Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, were seen avoiding one another while entering a press conference.
This was right before the high-stakes bilateral meeting at the White House on Thursday, in what was supposed to be an on-camera appearance before US and Brazilian journalists.

The only readout from the meeting came from Trump in the form of a post on Truth Social, where he indicated that the meeting went so well.

The meeting was first set to open to the White House press pool and members of the Brazilian press. However, the Brazilian press corps left the White House nearly two hours after Lula arrived for his meeting with Trump and was only spotted by the foreign press pool.
