The White House Press Secretary shared the birth of her daughter, Viviana, with her 60-year-old husband, Nicholas Riccio, sharing the details through a post on Instagram.
'She's perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister,'- Leavitt mentioned. She added how they are enjoying every moment in this new and blissful newborn bubble.
While her final day at the White House before maternity leave was supposed to be Friday, Leavitt attended the White House Correspondents' dinner over the weekend and found herself back on duty as an active shooter tried to barge into the event.
She had a last-minute press briefing to denounce political violence and slam late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel before resuming leave in preparation for her due date.
