JD Vance Says White House Correspondents' Dinner Shooting Was ‘Tougher’ for His Pregnant Wife Usha, Who Was at Home

Vice President JD Vance says the White House Correspondents' dinner shooting was tougher for his pregnant wife, Usha, than for anyone else.

At the time of the incident, the second lady was reportedly at home with their three kids. She is now currently pregnant with the fourth one and is due soon.

While she was not in the room at the time of this shooting, it was tougher for Usha than for Vance because she was not aware of what actually took place.

She began hearing things through text messages and social media, and she really did not know what was going on during the shooting.

Vance himself said he heard some loud noises but had no clue what that was. "Before I had any idea of what was going on, I began to see people duck under the tables, and I replied to what was going on far in the back of the ballroom," he added.

The vice president was also seen praising the Secret Service for their hard work and efforts, claiming they deserve a lot of credit for averting a major possible disaster.
