A small plane has crashed moments after it took off from Crystal Airport, which is located north of Minneapolis, on Saturday.
This resulted in the death of a legislator from North Dakota, as well as her plane's pilot, according to authorities.

The North Dakota Democratic Nonpartisan League Party, which is an affiliate of the national Democratic Party, confirmed Conmy's sudden death in a post through social media, calling her a champion for public education.

"We are completely heartbroken and gutted by the loss of Rep Liz Conmy. Her death is a profound loss for our state," the party shared in a post on X.
Officers replied to a report of a small plane crash at 11:51 am and found the plane that had crashed and caught fire in a park in the city of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, shortly after it took off.
