President Trump is considering on deploying thousands of US troops amid the ongoing war in Iran, as shared by Reuters on Wednesday.
The Pentagon says that they are waiting for the White House to give the green signal for approval of a more than $200 billion funding request to Congress for the war in Iran, as per a new report.

It's been three weeks since the US and Israel started bombing Iran to try to dismantle the country's regime's security apparatus, as per the military.
President Trump continues to claim that Iran poses a serious threat to Americans due to its nuclear ambitions and development of long-range missiles. But this fight is not free, and the cost that it comes with outside the US is through American taxpayers' pockets.

Pentagon officials are now seeking up to a more than $200 billion bump in defense spending to help keep up with the military campaign against Iran. As per the Washington Post, the war is not going as planned and is taking much longer than was anticipated at first. This is making things worse as now oil is expected to reach up to $200 per barrel.
