President Trump is thinking about sending funds directly to the residents of Greenland in a bid to seize the massive island nation.
According to reports from local media outlets, the White House is currently in the midst of making plans for a range of options between $10,000 $100,000 per resident to bribe them to let America get full control.
Currently, the country's population sits somewhere around 56,000, and it remains a territory of Denmark.
This means that on the higher end of the spectrum, America could end up paying residents of Greenland nearly $5.6 billion if these bribes are massively accepted.
For now, it's not quite clear how these logistics of the payments will end up working out, and if the payments to Greenlanders would be legal for America to go about acquiring the landmass.
However, this proposal is giving a clear indication of how America might end up going forward with the intent of purchasing it despite Denmark having full reservations about that thought.
