Western nations such as Australia are urging their citizens to leave Iran on Wednesday as Tehran's top military chief threatened preemptive military action over President Trump's threats against its regime.
The country urged its citizens to leave Iran as soon as possible and to avoid traveling to the Islamic Republic altogether, citing the ongoing violent protests that might give rise to further escalations of tension.
The news comes after Major General Amir Hatami warned that Iran would not stay silent after Trump claimed that America would roll out military action if Tehran violently killed peaceful protesters.
"The Islamic Republic considers the intensification of such rhetoric against the Iranian country as a huge threat and won't leave its continuation without a reply," he shared.
