Horror moment 2 firefighting helicopters collide mid-air in Greece, killing 2 crewmembers — as blazes ravage Europe

Terrifying video recently showed the moment two firefighting helicopters crashed in mid-air while battling a raging wildfire in Greece.

The incident reportedly took the lives of two crew members, officials claim.

The haunting footage shared by the press showed how one of the helicopters clipped the rotor of the second one that was flying near it, causing it to burst into flames and fall to the ground.

Two crew members inside the helicopter ended up tragically dying in the crash while two others miraculously survived. Authorities told the outlet that a Greek national and a Danish national were killed in that incident, while another Greek national and a British national ended up surviving.

The names of the crew involved in this crash are yet to be released. The helicopters were said to be leased by the local fire department to combat a blaze in Psatha, which is west of Athens. This is not far from where the giant wildfires are located, where they were said to be operating.
