A new day is bringing out a new revelation in the Nancy Guthrie case, including plenty of controversies for the family.
The latest has to do with a massive $3.25 million claim from men who say they were wrongfully detained by the police and sheriff's department.
Two men issued the claim recently against Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos and a detective involved in this case.
Lawyers on behalf of Carlos Palazuelos and Daniel Maddox issued the notice of claim alleging wrongful arrest, defamation, and damage to property on Monday. This was filed nearly six months after Guthrie was kidnapped from her home. No charges were filed in the case.
The notice says that they were held without any kind of probable cause for nearly seven to eight hours. Carlos' arrest went public but was designed to damage Carlos' reputation and subject him to humiliation and suspicion by implying that he was the alleged kidnapper.
