Mackenzie Shirilla Wants Murder Conviction Tossed, as New Attorney Alleges Her Rights Were Violated

Mackenzie Shirilla wants a murder conviction tossed, as shared by the new Attorney General.

Shirilla is reportedly seeking a judge to toss her murder conviction while introducing new details related to this case.

The latest attorney for the convicted killer filed a new petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the federal court asking a judge to overturn this conviction on several grounds, including ineffective counsel, insufficient evidence to establish probable cause, and improper admission of evidence at the trial.

The petition also listed examples of evidence not presented at this trial that could prove her innocence, they added. This includes a claim that the defense had proof that a local grocer had left a package of produce for her at a 24-hour pickup spot at a store in the vicinity of the crash scene.
