The family of the hero teen lifeguard who went viral after astonishing footage shared online showed him rescuing a teen from pounding California surf waves is now breaking its silence.
The teen lifeguard lauded by President Trump for risking his life to save a 10-year-old boy from monster waves at the Santa Cruz beach rescued more swimmers that day, his proud family shared.

The loved ones of 16-year-old Ryder Williams said they're trying to shield the humble teen from national attention following the dramatic rescue that took place on Saturday.

He will now be back in action at his lifeguard station on Tuesday. His family says he just wants to be a kid and work hard this summer and serve and protect his community.
