A tragic incident has taken place where a man reportedly fell from a 12-story apartment building and ended up landing right on top of an innocent 23-year-old pedestrian.
Authorities claim it is just that the pedestrian was in the wrong place at the wrong time. While the 29-year-old man did end up surviving, the same was not the case for the pedestrian below.
The 23-year-old female later died from her critical injuries. The incident took place in the crowded Sakae District of Nagoya which is an area that is heavily populated with office buildings, entertainment venues, and apartments along the Nagoya Expressway's downtown loop.
Emergency services did respond to the scene at about 1:00 am on Sunday. The pedestrian was later identified as 23-year-old Houra Inaba, a restaurant employee who lived nearby.
Investigations are still taking place to determine how and why the male fell from below.
