An apocalyptic smoke plume was seen plunging the US into darkness as chilling maps showed the scale of horror wildfires taking place.
The matter has given rise to a serious air quality crisis across the US as thick wildfire smoke started to arise.
This includes areas from the Great Lakes to the East Coast. It all began with intense blazes in Canada and Minnesota, where the plume has triggered major hazardous air quality alerts in major cities including New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, and Detroit.
Officials were then seen issuing urgent warnings and advising residents to stay indoors to remain protected themselves from the toxic haze and concurrent scorching summer heat. The severity of the matter has also given rise to notable local disruptions.
