A high school in Florida has raised eyebrows after a student was awarded a historic GPA.
Imagine getting an astronomical 11.99 GPA, prompting the school districts to overhaul their grading policies after the news went viral online. The student named Vaibhav Bhaskar is now headed to Duke University to study finance and economics.
He accumulated this historic grade point average by completing 44 Advanced Placement and dual college enrollment courses. To attain this milestone, he kept a physical whiteboard of his objectives, which included becoming valedictorian and breaking the state's previous GPA record of 11.84.
However, his massive course load and the resulting record-breaking score have now triggered an immediate policy shift in Hillsborough County Public Schools.
