A shocking and devastating incident has left the community of DeKalb in Georgia saddened.
This is when the deaths of a 13-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man were shared. The incident took place during an overnight sleepover at a home located on Rockcliff Road.
As per authorities, a gunman was seen opening fire on the home, discharging dozens of shots into the residence. During the time of the gunfire, there were 11 people inside the home, including several adults and kids.
A 13-year-old child and 45-year-old Chauncey Newman both lost their lives in this attack. The home was struck by an overwhelming barrage of bullets from the outside while the occupants were gathered for a sleepover there. Nine other people were believed to be inside the residence but managed to survive the harrowing incident. Investigations are taking place as the cops confirmed that a suspect is now in custody.
