In an exclusive interview that was shared, a 27-year-old mother from Canada shared how she was fully traumatized and yet very fortunate to see the birth of her third child go well despite her being fast asleep.
After checking in for an induction, Moreno shared how she got antibiotics for a positive Group B Streptococcus test, followed by Pitocin to stimulate labor. Due to the serious discomfort involved, she was seen requesting an epidural. Once it came into play, she self-administered three more doses, and that's when she fell off to sleep.
While sleeping, the baby delivered himself, and the hospital room's monitor ended up triggering an alarm when it couldn't detect any fetal heartbeat. That's when the attending nurse entered to adjust the monitor, assuming the active child had merely shifted. As time went on without the heartbeat, Moreno woke up in a state of panic.
After rolling onto her back, Moreno felt a very unexpected mass inside her bed. The nurse lifted all the blankets to find the newborn child lying in a face-down position. While she was silent at first, it caused a minor scare that he was not alive. But it was simply sleeping.
