Mackenzie Shirilla Appears In New Prison Photo Following Legal Setback

Mackenzie Shirilla's new photo has people raising questions about how images of her are being taken behind bars so easily.

Sources from local media outlets shared more about how the 21-year-old's support team was behind her Instagram account and therefore posted a new image of her from inside the Ohio Reformatory for Women.

She's currently serving a sentence of 15 years to life after being convicted in a 2023 bench trial for intentionally crashing her vehicle into a wall at about 100 mph in 2022. This resulted in the death of her lover and friend, Davion Flanagan.

The social media update included a plea for the public to sign a petition requesting a fair trial from Ohio's Supreme Court. The push follows the court's decision to reject her latest appeal because her legal team missed the deadline for filing by a single day. Her attorneys then filed a new motion asking the court to reconsider and even argued that the deadline was confusing.

This recent picture of her drew massive criticism on social media, especially in the comments section. Many felt there was a lack of accountability taking place.
