They say food is life for many people whose goal is to live to eat.
However, what happens when the place you expect to receive the best customer service ends up fat shaming you in the worst manner?
A very upset Reddit user made it clear that he was not a happy camper after his online experience of getting fat shamed by a digital ordering kiosk at an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant left him stunned.
As per the diner, he was trying to order three lamb skewers when, all of a sudden, a pop-up warning blocked the entire checkout screen. This prompt read: 'For your own health concern, an average adult's intake of food shouldn't go beyond 1000 calories. Your current calorie intake is 2000 calories. Do you really wish to proceed?'
The system also shared how the meal was good for two people and warned others of a potential fee for the unfinished food, too. While the system might have been designed to look out for the customer's best interest, it clearly rubbed him the wrong way.
