Tragic reports are coming in about a Boeing 737 aircraft that reportedly lost contact with the radar while flying over the Arabian Sea.
The plane was recorded as rapidly descending and losing full contact with air traffic controllers during the flight.
The Pakistani cargo plane carrying five crew members has now gone missing over the Arabian Sea. It was believed to be operated by the Karachi-based carrier K2 Airways and was carrying out a flight from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, to Karachi, Pakistan. As per Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority, the crew first reported a major issue with their navigation system at 9:18 pm local time.
Radar data showed that just three minutes later, the plane underwent a rapid descent and made a sharp heading change. Shortly after that, all radar and radio contact was lost completely. The plane's last known position was recorded nearly 155 nautical miles west of Karachi.
Search and rescue operations are now being carried out by authorities in the Arabian Sea to locate the missing vessel and its crew as investigations continue.
