Tragic update in hunt for missing Rising Football Star Nolan Wells, 18, who disappeared during July 4 party

Officials have made a tragic update regarding the case involving the missing rising football star, Nolan Wells.

Wells reportedly disappeared during a party on July 4, forcing his parents to launch an urgent report to the police for assistance on the matter.

Now, authorities have confirmed that they have stumbled upon a body on the northwest portion of Horn Island, which is a remote and largely undeveloped barrier island located roughly 10 miles off Mississippi's Gulf Coast.

Wells reportedly went missing on Saturday afternoon while he was visiting the island with his pals over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. He soon got separated from his group and failed to return. The extensive operation mobilized several organizations, including the Jackson and Harrison County Sheriff's Offices, the US Coast Guard, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, and the volunteer-led United Cajun Navy. As a result, crews faced major challenging terrain, navigating this remote location by boat, aircraft, and foot.

The family is waiting for more answers as the investigation continues to determine the cause of death for a young graduate of Ocean Springs High School.
